Scribe-X: Lead Scribe $16-$18 ($18 on days doing admin work) They will send you a whole computer set-up (two monitors, PC, mouse, keyboard, headset, webcam). They also only hire in certain states, so look into that before applying. Scribe-X is live scribing, though, so you will be on a video call with the doctor while they’re in the exam room with the patient. If you have none to little experience, they will place you with just one provider so you get comfortable. People actually respond in a timely manner. There a lot of people around to get help if you need it. The whole onboarding process was flawless and very easy to navigate. I ultimately applied here because well, I need money to survive haha. At this project, they specifically told us we were brought in to save it from dying (lol). After this, I transferred to a new project and didn’t get to start any work until the end of March, which is an insane amount of time to be without pay. Right after Christmas, they laid off all of us because the project died. We were constantly losing doctors because they couldn’t get us properly trained. The supervisor was extremely unprepared for the project. I then joined a new project with an ophthalmology group and that’s where everything went downhill. The first few months were relatively well. I worked there for a year, and when I tell you it was a horrible experience, I mean it.
